Create You Own Art Photographic Tours
     






 
This is an opportunity to create you own art during the Tulbagh Spring Arts Festival.

All you need is a camera or a cell phone with a camera.

Norman Collins, resident photographer, will take you to locations that will provide you with photographic opportunities. He will freely give photographic advice.

There are 2 photo short tours:

1. First light on mountain peaks

From across the valley capture the first light touching the mountain peaks. Hopefully there will be some snow on the mountains.

Time: 06:15 sunrise at 06:45
Dates: Saturday 12th Sept and Sunday 13th Sept
Duration: 06:15 to 08:15
Price: R 100.00

2. Blossoms

Tulbagh is known for its fine wines, but there are also extensive fruit orchards. In spring the fruit trees are covered in pink or white blossoms. Capture the unique colour of the blossoms contrasted with the green grass and blue sky.

Dates: Saturday 12th Sept and Sunday 13th Sept
Duration: 08:30 to 10:30
Price: R 100.00

The Art of Music Photo Food and Beer
     
 
As part of the Tulbagh Arts Festival, Readers will hosting a Artisan Afternoon portraying the the Art of Music Photo Food and Beer This entails a live performance from renowned violist Hezron Chetty, A music to Slide Show presentation of Norman Collins Photography, Artisan Food created by Readers and Beer tasting with Bernard Kruger of carefully crafted Independent Beer and Spirits

Accomplished and internationally acclaimed violist Hezron Chetty, delivers the violin’s rich sound with enthusiasm and skill. He performs magical solo sessions playing the violin through a loop station, thereby creating an orchestra to a live audience piece by piece, taking it back to the early days of when instruments were used to make as many sounds out of them as possible. 

The Art of Music Photo Food and Beer takes place at Readers restaurant on the 12th September from 1pm to 4pm with a cover charge of R20
     
     
Folk Music and Art at the Tulbagh Hotel
     
We are proud to continue our association with the Tulbagh art school Land van Waveren. The paintings from these local artists adorn the hotel throughout the year, and we are proud to be the venue to view their art.

We are also delighted to be hosting South African folk musician Anthony Keogh who will be performing a mix of his own songs and cover versions of Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, James Taylor, Jack Johnson and Sarah McLachlan. Anthony will be performing 2 hour sets on Friday at 1900, Saturday at 1300 and 1900 and Sunday at 1900.

Our popular Olive Terrace Bistro and Bar, number one in town on Tripadvisor, will be offering an a la carte menu, featuring fresh local produce, with a comprehensive selection of local wines.
